We were pleased to host the President of Harvard University, Lawrence (Larry) Bacow, at the Mount Scopus campus for a tour and meeting with the President of the Hebrew University, Prof. Asher Cohen.
The Harvard delegation, which included senior faculty members, came to visit the Hebrew University as part of a tour it held in the countries of the region. During the visit, round tables were held with senior officials of the two universities on the subject of academic collaborations. In addition, the delegation toured the campus with Yossi Gal, the university's Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development, as well as with students from the Diversity Ambassador program under the guidance of Prof. Mona Khoury, the university's Vice President for Diversity and Strategy, who shared their personal experience of the degree studies and represent the wide human mosaic that exists in the university.
Prof. Asher Cohen, President of the Hebrew University, welcomed the Harvard delegation: "We are proud and excited to host the President of Harvard University, one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in the world. The visit of the delegation continues the collaboration between the Hebrew University and Harvard. We learn from each other and will work to promote further academic collaborations in the future”.
