Professor Asher Cohen is a professor in the field of cognitive sciences. His research focuses on the relationship between the human perceptual system and response mechanisms in situations that require exceptionally rapid motor reactions. As part of his work, Professor Cohen developed, among other contributions, a theoretical model that successfully predicts under which conditions performing two tasks simultaneously leads to reduced performance, and under which it does not. During his tenure, he spearheaded significant processes at the university, including recruiting leading researchers from Israel and abroad, launching new academic programs, enhancing the Hebrew University’s real estate assets, and advancing research infrastructures at an international level.
