During the visit, the President and Director of the Israeli Academy of Sciences met with the President of the Hebrew University, Prof. Asher Cohen, and with the Director General of the University, Mr. Yishai Fraenkel.

They began the visit at the University’s Center for Nano-science and Nano-technology, where they met with the center’s head, Prof. Hadar Steinberg and its administrative director, Ms. Noa Gordon-Assayag, who gave them a tour of the facility and explained the center’s role in providing advanced research infrastructure and a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Afterwards, they visited the Israeli Institute for Advanced Studies, where they met the head of the Institute, Prof. Yitzhak Hen, and the administrative director, Ms. Iris Avivi, and heard from them about the Institute’s role in bringing together researchers from all over the world and a wide array of disciplines.
