A distinguished achievement for the Hebrew University, which has climbed in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in Mathematics, Communication, and Law! The university now ranks 14th globally in both Mathematics and Communication and 42nd in Law among the world’s top universities. Additionally, Hebrew University holds an overall global ranking of 81st for 2024.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Asher Cohen, the Director General and CEO of the University, Mr. Yishai Fraenkel, the Mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Moshe Lion, and the CEO of the Jerusalem Development Authority.

Prof. Asher Cohen, the President of the University, and Prof. Tamir Sheafer, the Rector of the University, met today with the 95 year old student of the University Mr. Chaim Shasha, to honor him as the eldest student of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, who holds no less than 6 academic degrees from the University.
